My aim is to widen accessibility to mountain medicine information. These courses give you knowledge and confidence to make your mountain adventures safer and more enjoyable.


The courses provide evidence based information and practical tips, delivered in a bitesize, structured format. Although they're packed with science, the courses are written for a general audience so you don't need any prior medical knowledge.

I'm Dr Hannah Lock, an Emergency Medicine Doctor based in North Wales. I work as an expedition doctor on trekking and mountaineering expeditions, with a special interest in high altitude mountainous areas. I have assisted on three high altitude medical research expeditions and I teach on a variety of mountain medicine.

I am a qualified summer UK Mountain Leader and gained the UIAA Diploma in Mountain Medicine in 2018.

I am a keen mountaineer, hill walker, rock climber, skier, cyclist, runner and swimmer.
